NEW PORT RICHEY, Fla. — A man was arrested after multiple SWAT teams responded to the scene of a barricaded subject.

Officials said Richard Hoskins Jr. was later located and arrested in a neighbor's duplex he was hiding in. Hoskins has been wanted by the Pasco County Sheriff's Office for domestic battery by strangulation.

The Pasco County Sheriff's Office were assisting the Port Richey Police Department with the call on Sun-Glo Avenue.

A witness said they were at Hoskins duplex drinking all night when things got out of hand. The witness said he left the duplex and Hoskins was holding a woman against her will.

Due to the amount of weapons Hoskins had in his home, a SWAT call was made.

When SWAT arrived, they evacuated all the residents near Hoskins' duplex at around 9:40 a.m. They were waiting on an arrest warrant before entering the home. Once it was signed, they entered the home to remove the woman that was being held against her will.

After making entry, officials said there was no sign of the woman. They believed she may have exited by crawling through the attic.

It was also determined that Hoskins was not in his duplex, so SWAT entered the other duplex. They found him hiding in the attic, but he was later arrested.

During a press conference, Pasco County officials said they have been looking for Hoskins for about two weeks.

Officials are still determining his charges.
