Regional council approves GRT deal, buses will be back on the road Saturday

There has been no bus service for close to two weeks

Regional council has rubber stamped a new contract with Grand River Transit workers, which means buses will be back in service as of Saturday morning.

The deal was ratified by the over 700 bus drivers, mechanics, vehicle service attendants and dispatchers, at a meeting on Thursday.

Buses have not been running since the strike began on Tuesday, January 21.
