Nottingham Forest youngster Tyrese Fornah has headed to Portugal on loan, in a transfer deadline day switch.

The midfielder will spend the rest of the season with second tier side Casa Pia AC.

Fornah has been a key player for the Reds’ Under-23s and made his first-team debut earlier this month, when head coach Sabri Lamouchi gave him his chance from off the bench in the 2-0 FA Cup defeat at Chelsea.

He has also regularly been involved in training sessions with the senior squad this term.

The 20-year-old made the move to the City Ground in 2018 from Brighton & Hove Albion, and is highly regarded at the club.

He penned a new long-term contract in December, which will keep him with Forest until 2022.

But Fornah now will look to get first-team experience abroad after linking up with Casa Pia.
