A Quiet Place II's Super Bowl Spot Expands the Franchise's Universe

by

One of the most acclaimed horror movies to be released in the last several years was 2018's A Quiet Place, and the stakes are even bigger in the film's upcoming sequel.

Paramount Pictures has released the Super Bowl TV spot for A Quiet Place: Part II, opening similar to the first theatrical trailer -- with the dawn of the monster invasion in an extended flashback sequence before jumping beyond the events of the original film.

As Emily Blunt's character, Evelyn Abbott, leads her family from their old home, they encounter new survivors from the monster invasion, potentially as dangerous as the monsters themselves in a world where the smallest sound can trigger the ravenous beasts to their prey's location.

Principal photography on A Quiet Place: Part II took place in summer 2019 upstate New York, reuniting the core cast from the original film while adding new characters portrayed by Cillian Murphy and Djimon Hounsou for a more expansive -- but no less terrifying -- adventure.

Written and directed by John Krasinski, A Quiet Place Part II stars Emily Blunt, Cillian Murphy, Millicent Simmonds, Noah Jupe and Djimon Hounsou. The film opens March 20.
