BS6-compliant Lexus NX launched at Rs 54.90 lakh

Lexus has launched the BS6-compliant version of the NX SUV with prices ranging from Rs 54.90-60.60 lakh (ex-showroom, India). The carmaker has also added a new entry-level variant, dubbed Exquisite, to the NX line-up. Given below are the variant-wise prices for the BS6 NX trims.

The BS4 Luxury variant was priced at Rs 58.20 lakh, which marks a Rs 1.70 lakh price hike for the BS6 version. However, these prices are expected to drop in the near future as Lexus has announced that it will begin local assembly of the NX soon. The Japanese carmaker has already begun assembly of the ES sedan at Toyota’s plant in Bidadi, Karnataka, the prices for which have fallen by Rs 8.05 lakh.
Powering the NX is a 155hp, 2.5-litre petrol engine that works alongside a 143hp electric motor to provide a combined output of 197hp. Power is sent to all four wheels through a 6-step eCVT gearbox.
In terms of features, the top-spec F Sport gets heated front seats and steering wheel, a 360-degree camera with front and rear parking sensors, auto headlamps and wipers, wireless mobile charging, eight-way adjustable electric front seats with driver-side memory, a head-up display, steering-mounted paddleshifters, an electric tailgate and a 10.3-inch infotainment screen. Safety kit includes eight airbags, ABS with EBD, vehicle stability control and an anti-theft system.
In an event today, Lexus also introduced BS6 versions of the ES sedan at Rs 51.90 lakh and launched the LC500h two-door grand tourer at Rs 1.96 crore.
