Schuh closes its Liverpool store for good

High street retailer Schuh has closed its Liverpool city centre store permanently.

The store was based on the corner of Church Street and had been open for more than two decades.

Its Liverpool ONE is not affected by the closure.

Inside, Schuh stocked a whole range of brands including Kickers, Dr Martens and trainers from Adidas, Nike and more.

The unit is now empty

The reason behind the closure is unclear, but the ECHO has approached Schuh for a comment.

However, signs which now surround the store read: "We've moved out...

"But your new box-fresh sneaks are only around the corner.

" Liverpool ONE Schuh + Schuh kids are only a five minute walk away. Or check us out at schuh.co.uk."

The closure follows a number of others in Liverpool this month including two B&M stores, Veeno on Castle Street and Debenhams in Southport.
