Former Manchester United winger Luis Nani has asked the fans to be patient with Bruno Fernandes as he adapts to life at the club and predicts he will score some "beautiful goals" at Old Trafford.

United confirmed the signing of the Portugal international on Friday and he is expected to make his Premier League debut against Wolves on Saturday.

The 25-year-old has impressed over at Sporting Lisbon but Nani warned it may take time for him to settle into the first team.

"I just want to wish good luck to Bruno Fernandes and I ask that you guys give him good support, have a little bit of patience for his adaption in the team," Nani said on the club's official Twitter account.

"I'm sure he will prove his qualities and score beautiful goals and I'm missing you guys and the great moments we had. I can see Manchester United coming back and playing the football we love and win titles because once red devil, red devil forever."

Fernandes trained with his new teammates for the first time on Friday morning and Solskjaer hinted that he could get his first start on Saturday.

"He's fit enough to play and he will be involved, be in the squad," Solskjaer said.

"Let's get training out of the way today. He has had few hectic days, and even his daughter's birthday yesterday. I don't know how much he'll be involved, but in squad."
