No Nintendo Switch Pro this year, but there's a new Animal Crossing Themed Switch coming soon

Prior to the Chinese New Year festive season, there were some rumours about a new Nintendo Switch Pro that supports 4K resolution. Some were excited about the possibility, but some fans were also sceptical as the enhanced version was recently released back then. Now, it has been revealed that there won't be a Pro edition this year but rather, what we got could be even better - an Animal Crossing: New Horizons themed Switch!

This statement came from the man himself, Shuntaro Furukawa, Nintendo President, during the company's latest financial results conference, as he said that they will focus on the current Switch systems more including the enhanced and lite editions. And I quote,

"Regarding Nintendo Switch, we believe that it is important to continue to communicate the appeal of both Nintendo Switch systems and expand the installed base. Please note that we have no plans to launch a new Nintendo Switch model during 2020." he said. 

That said, the upcoming Animal Crossing: New Horizons will be available on 13 March 2020. From the image, you can see the Joy-Cons features a mint green and sky blue skin which is very appealing. The Switch body remains black, but the dock also has three cute racoons (Nook Clan) on an island together (AWW).
