Cristiano Ronaldo has once again added another feather in his cap as he has been named the best player in Serie A for the month of January.

The Juventus striker has been in blistering form for the defending champions since the New Year scoring seven goals in the league.

Ronaldo opened the month of January following a hat-trick against Cagliari and assisted substitute Gonzalo Higuain with his strike.

The 34-year-old converted a spot-kick during the Bianconeri's 2-1 victory at Roma as he increased his tally to four goals in two matches.

Maurizio Sarri's men continued their superb run in the month as they defeated Parma by 2-1 and Ronaldo was not left out among the scorers in the match, scoring two goals for his side.

Juventus suffered their second loss of the season when they traveled to Naples to face Napoli in a week 21 match.

Two second half goals from Poland midfielder Piotr Zielinski and Lorenzo Insigne gave Gennaro Gattuso's side a 2-0 lead.

But a 90 minute strike from Ronaldo was not enough to salvage a point for the Serie A champions but their Portuguese striker continued his remarkable goal scoring form.

In total, Ronaldo has scored 17 league goals, four short of his 21 strikes in the last campaign that earned him the league best player.

Juventus will be welcoming Fiorentina to the Allianz Stadium for a week 22 clash and Ronaldo will be looking to add to his tally.
