A third commented: 'Amazing idea,' while a fourth agreed: 'Wow, looks amazing, well done.'

With so many eager to hear how she achieved the finished look, Hannah went on to explain where she bought the materials and decoration.

She told how the plant and big mirror were from Ikea, boxes and fairy lights from Home Bargains, the small mirror from No 7 at Boots, and the black gloss and natural slate on the walls, Dulux.

The homeowner added that the total renovation cost her just £5, which she spent on new paint brushes, because she already had everything around the house.

One impressed social media user wrote: 'Wow, looks amazing. Well done!' while a second added: 'That's fabulous!'

The post, which has since racked up over one thousand comments, was flooded with messages from those inspired to make use of their spare cupboards.

'I need this! Brilliant!' wrote one, while a second penned: 'Love it. I think might have to do that.'

A third added: 'OMG I've got a cupboard upstairs the same. Fab idea for space. We're turning the spare back bedroom into a dressing area - can't wait when we get to do that! Love your mirror and boxes on top - it's fab.

Meanwhile, a fourth added: 'I loooove this. My mum had a make up cupboard when I was little. She had a storage pouffe instead of a chair for hairdryer, tongs etc. Extra storage!'
