Dancing on Ice pro breaks silence over Caprice Bourret fall-out: 'I'm not ok'

by

Dancing On Ice star Hamish Gaman has addressed his split with celebrity partner Caprice Bourret for the first time to admit he’s ‘not ok’.

The 36-year-old professional skater remains on the ITV show despite his fall-out with the former glamour model who was repartnered with Oscar Peters.

The saga is said to have caused tensions backstage while neither party has explained the ‘break-up’.

Speaking to his 8, 500 followers, Hamish tweeted: ‘Hi everyone. Thank you so much for your kind messages. I’ve been overwhelmed by your love and support – it’s brought me to tears at times.

‘Honestly, I’m not okay, but I’d like to thank Amelia, my pro family and ITV for doing all they can to support me.

‘I’m comforted knowing the truth always comes out in the end, and I hope we can focus on the skating again now.’

Sources previously claimed morale is ‘low behind-the-scenes’ and that cast and crew are ‘deeply concerned’ for Hamish.

‘The show is like a family and the pro skaters are very close so everyone is worrying about Hamish after he was thrown into the spotlight,’ they told The Sun.

‘He is a professional skater and has no interest in being famous – he’s never made headlines unless it’s for his skating skills.’

They added: ‘Backstage nobody has been told anything so everyone is just focusing on making sure Hamish is OK.’

Caprice and Hamish’s relationship is said to have become ‘unworkable’. The former singer was absent from a week of the contest with Holly Willoughby only confirming she would no longer be skating with Hamish line on-air.

Dancing On Ice continues Sunday at 6pm on ITV.
