Watch Tracee Ellis Ross Recreate 'The Shining' With A Hilarious Twist In This Super Bowl Commercial
Tracee Ellis Ross stars in a new Super Bowl commercial for Mountain Dew No Sugar.
She and Bryan Cranston recreate The Shining in the hilarious ad.
Though the commercial doesn't "officially" premiere until Sunday, you can watch it now on Tracee's Instagram.
You’re probably aware that the Super Bowl 2020 is on Sunday and, with it, you can expect to see a slew of totally awesome commercials. Well, Black-ish actress Tracee Ellis Ross just teamed up with Breaking Bad alum Bryan Cranston on a new Super Bowl ad for Mountain Dew No Sugar, and she just shared a clip of the geniusness on Instagram.
The commercial features Bryan and Tracee recreating a freaky scene from classic horror movie The Shining. In the ad, you can see an ax-wielding Bryan try to lure Tracee out of a bathroom with Mountain Dew No Sugar. He then proceeds to chop down her bathroom door, before holding the bottle of soda through it.
Tracee screams her head off (I mean, yeah), before she suddenly stops and says, "I am thirsty," as she grabs the Mountain Dew. Check out the clip here and just try not to LOL:
Tracee Ellis RossLadies and gents, I present the premiere of the @MountainDew #SuperBowl commercial: I got to remake #TheShining with @BryanCranston! Shut the front door! What do you think? As good as the original, maybe even better? #MTNDewZeroSugar
People lost their collective sh*t in the comments. “Hilarious 😂😂😂😂😂,” one fan wrote. “Omg haaa haaa 🤣,” another said. “Dead,” someone else wrote.
Obviously, this isn’t Tracee’s first comedic role, given that she stars on a little show called Black-ish, but she totally nailed her part in a way only Tracee can. Also, not that it’s a requirement here, but Tracee has made it clear that she eats very little sugar, making her kinda-totally perfect for this role in more ways than one.
The ad will make its "official" debut during the Super Bowl. But, in the meantime, have fun watching it on repeat on Tracee's Instagram.
