Latest Barca Signing Announces His Own Deal On Instagram?

The Catalan giants were linked with a host of strikers, but ended their hunt for a new forward ahead of deadline day.
However, while it seemed that no new player would arrive at the Camp Nou in this window, Palmeiras midfielder Matheus Fernandes has now seemingly revealed he has been signed by the Catalan giants, as Albert Roge of Sport reported.
The tweet loosely translates to: "Barca signs Matheus Fernandes and gives him to Valladolid. Confirmed by himself on Instagram. 7 million operation. #FCBLive"

The 21-year-old also posted a farewell message for his current club on Instagram, with an excerpt stating: "Today came the day to fulfil a dream of playing in Europe. I am grateful to God for all that He has given me. Soon, new challenges, goals and dreams!"
While it seems Barcelona have signed him before immediately loaning him out to Real Valladolid until the end of the season, both clubs are yet to make an official statement about the player.

Fernandes has made 74 appearances in Brazil's top flight for Palmeiras and Botafogo, and has also featured eight times in the Copa Libertadores – the South American version of the UEFA Champions League.
