Orlando Pirates are set to add to their squad today before the transfer window closes, with the club snapping up a new midfielder.

The Siya crew reported earlier today that Nkanyiso Zungu could be on the move from Stellenbosch FC as they looked to bulk up their midfield, and now their head coach, Steve Barker, has confirmed to the crew that the 24-year-old is on his way to the Buccaneers.

Zungu has played 16 league games for Stellies this season as he established himself as a key component of the club's side, and his performances in the Western Cape have clearly not gone unnoticed as he attracted the attention of the Soweto giants.

Now, with the deadline closing it less than 10 hours, it appears that his move will be finalised in time for him to become a Buccaneer by the end of the day.

Speaking to the crew today, Barker said, "Yeah, it's true... Nkanyiso is going to Pirates, and we really wish him well there. He's been great for us, and we hope he can have a good career after leaving. It was a deal that suited everybody really, but one day we hope to get to a point when we won't have to lose our best players to bigger clubs."

Zungu previously played for AmaZulu and Jomo Cosmos - the move has since been confirmed by Pirates as well.
