adidas Constructs Superstar Pure "London" From Crisp Premium Monochromatic Leather
Sans-Three Stripes and stamped with the city’s name.
by Eric Brainadidas‘ OG Superstar is having its moment in 2020, releasing in a number of highly-sought-after renditions and collaborations, and now it returns as the Superstar Pure “London.”
This limited-edition take on the classic white-and-black sneaker is crafted from premium leather, earning its Pure signature for its clean and smooth look. Instead of the classic Three Stripes found on the upper, adidas has perforated them into the mid-panel — much like the upcoming Superstan — and has also buffed the leather to give it a soft touch and shine.
Branding comes in the form of a small rectangle towards the rear-quarter, simply stating “London” and “Superstar.” The tongue is embossed with tonal adidas branding, while the black leather heel sport the signature Trefoil logo painted in gold. adidas’ premium shell toe 0ffering is complete with a set of flat white laces and leather branded insoles.
Take a look at the adidas Superstar Pure “London” in “Ftwr White/Core Black/Gold Metallic” in the gallery above, and pick up a pair from retailers such as Sneakersnstuff for £99 GBP (approx. $130 USD) when they drop on February 1.
