Tyson Fury vs Deontay Wilder: Brit hails Bronze Bomber as hardest hitter

- Tyson Fury has hailed Deontay Wilder as the hardest puncher in boxing even better than Mike Tyson

- Fury's controversial submission was made ahead of his rematch showdown with Deontay Wilder in Las Vegas

- His comment might have complemented Khalilah Ali's controversial naming of the American as boxing's all-time great

Tyson Fury might have sought the wrath of boxing fraternity after his controversial naming of his rival Deontay Wilder as 'bigger puncher' than boxing legend Mike Tyson.

The Brit will face Bronze Bomber in a much anticipated heavyweight showdown that has been officially scheduled for February 22, 2020, in Las Vegas at the iconic MGM Grand Garden Arena in the United States.

Ahead of his fight, Fury hailed his rival as the hardest thing in boxing history, saying numbers don't lie when it comes to who the hardest puncher is between the two Americans.

"Numbers don't lie! This man's knockout ratio alone says that he is the greatest puncher in boxing history, in the heavyweight division," Fury said.

Going by statistics, Mike Tyson, the ''baddest man on earth,'' won 44 of his 58 fights by knockout when he was in his prime. Wilder, in contrast, coasted to 41 knockout victories in his 43 fight.

Fury might have complemented Khalilah Ali, estranged wife of late boxing legend Muhammad Ali's dubbing of the American as 'greatest of all time' in boxing history.

Meanwhile, Wilder and Fury had their first fight in December 2018 and it resulted into a controversial split, with both sides emerging winners in grand style.

The American heavyweight champ had landed a brutal knockout-bound punch on Tyson Fury but the Brit got his moves back to give Wilder some chases inside the ring.

Wilder later went to defend his WBC title against Cuban fighter Luiz Ortiz in December- a fight he unsurprisingly won through a knockout.
