See flames shoot into the air after early hours 'explosion' and car fire on Sunderland street

A car burst into flames on Foxton Close in Sunderland in the early hours of the morning after a "bang" was heard by neighbours on the street.
One man rushed out of his home just before 4am on Friday to capture the fire taking hold of the parked Renault Clio.
A fire engine was called to the scene and the blaze, which was filling the air with smoke, was extinguished.
Nobody was injured but the wrecked car was left severely damaged with its windows smashed.
Now the fire is being investigated by police officers.

A Northumbria Police spokesperson said: "Shortly after 4am today, we received a report a vehicle was on fire on Foxton Close, Sunderland.
"Emergency services attended and the fire was extinguished. Nobody was injured.
"An investigation has been launched to determine the cause of the fire.
"Inquiries are ongoing. Anyone with information is asked to contact 101 quoting reference 92 310120 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111."
