Meghan Markle and Prince Harry Could Be Headed to Los Angeles

by

Hot off the heels of rumors that Meghan Markle was looking for an agent, E! News reports that she and Prince Harry are hoping to spend some time in Los Angeles this summer to soak up the sunshine and maybe spend a little more time with Markle's mom, Doria Ragland. According to a source close to the Sussexes, the duo will get settled in Canada before clocking in some time in L.A.

"They have started to look at homes online and are in the process of interviewing security teams. They are getting their ducks in a row and seeing if it's logistically possible," the insider said. "They've reached out to people in L.A. and would like to assemble a team of locals."

Markle could already have a team in mind. Her mother, after all, calls L.A. home and Markle's no stranger to the area herself. She was born in the suburb of Canoga Park. While Meghan and Harry haven't made any official statement on the matter just yet, the source says that there are a lot of non-negotiables, since there needs to be enough room for security and staff. Plus, Meghan wants to have enough room for work and play alike.

"Meghan would like to be able to do meetings at the house and also be able to host friends and entertain. Those are two things that are important to her," the source adds.

In the wake of the announcement that they'd be stepping back from being full-time working royals, Harry and Meghan mentioned that they'd be splitting their time between the "U.K. and North America." L.A. certainly fits that description, so don't be surprised to see a royal or two mingling with L.A.'s own Hollywood royalty.
