Love Island's Mike goads 'Mr Gentleman' Luke M in row over Jess

We have a new love triangle in the Love Island villa, and it’s just getting pointier as the days go on.

Thursday night’s episode saw Luke Mabbott getting increasingly irritated by Mike Boateng’s efforts to woo Jess Gale.

And tempers boil over in tonight’s episode, as the two lads clash over their shared desire for Jess.

Mike pulls Luke M for a chat to tell him that his interruption of his and Jess’s conversation (where Mike had his arm around her) was ‘a bit frosty’.

You’re all in South Africa, but go on.

Luke M says: ‘There’s only so much you can take. I know you’re going to talk to her, but pulling her so much today…’

But Mike seems eager to wind him up further, saying: ‘Have I? Or has she just gravitated towards me?

‘You came up mid conversation, sat down interrupted and then grabbed her. Fair enough my arm was around her, the girl was cold. You didn’t provide a jacket for her, Mr Gentleman.

‘Naturally she’ll pick me because I’m more of her type. To me it seems you’re a bit insecure.’

Luke M says: ‘Let’s let this run its natural course.

‘I know you’re going to chat to her and stuff. We’ll just have to see how it pans out.’

But on Jess’s side of things, her mind is split between her two paramours.

The 20-year-old tells the girls: ‘I think I could fancy Luke. I think I want to fancy Luke.

‘I’m happy with him and I like the way things are going and I’m hopeful that things are going to go well.

‘I need to give it more time. Now, my doubts with Luke could potentially push me towards Mike.’

But with the islanders forced to choose the least compatible couple, could Jess’s ‘sexy side dish’ – who is coupled up with Sophie Piper – be dumped from the island anyway?
