The Galaxy S20 series release is nearing the shores with the big event scheduled for February 11. All the three smartphones composing this family have been making the headlines. Today, they decided to pay a visit to GeekBenck 5.1. Worth noting, that this time around, we have the Galaxy S20 phones that are heading to the US market. Those are powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 865 rather than a home-grown Samsung Chipset.

The trio is composed of Galaxy S20, Galaxy S20+, and Galaxy S20 Ultra. These smartphones come with SM-G981 (S20), SM-G986 (S20+) and SM-G988 (S20 Ultra) model numbers respectively. They can be accompanied by “N” for South-Korea or “U” for the US models. The “F” models, should be the variants heading to Europe.

The three smartphones are powered by the same Snapdragon 865 SoC which is accompanied by 12GB of RAM. The benchmark score is essentially the same for all three phones. Moreover, they match up with other SD865 equipped smartphones that have gone through the test. Of course, there’s variation, but that might be due to the pre-release software and hardware.

Worth noting that all three models are the 5G variations of these smartphones. While the S20 Ultra is unlikely to get an LTE version, the other two will come in 4G models. They are meant for all those markets where carriers are yet to deploy 5G networks.
