Former police sergeant guilty of corruption

David Ntuli (36), a former police officer, has been found guilty of a accepting bribe from a motorist in Komatipoort.

Ntuli was sentenced in the Boschfontein Magistrate’s Court to four years’ imprisonment, suspended to five years on condition the accused is not convicted of corruption during the period of suspension, on Wednesday January 29.
He accepted money from a motorist who was an undercover agent with fitted audio and visual device during an operation conducted per section 252A on Monday September 17, 2018.
The sergeant was arrested after investigations by the Hawks Serious Corruption Investigation Unit: Mpumalanga on Saturday June 29, 2019.
