The US Embassy in Nigeria has stated that they did not deny the Visa application of Bishop Oyedepo, as earlier reported.

In the early ours of Friday January 31, 2020, multiple reports indicated that the General Overseer of the Living Faith Church Worldwide a.k.a Winners Chapel, Bishop David Oyedepo joined the list of popular figures in Nigeria being denied the US visa.

ThisDay reported that Bishop Oyedepo told the Embassy’s authorities that he has been traveling to the United States since the 1980s, and wondered why his renewal was denied.

The United States Diplomatic Mission Nigeria, has now come out to debunk the claims, tagging it a ‘fake news’.

Taking to Twitter, the US Embassy urged the public to note that nothing of such had occurred. The Tweet read;
