Casi se cumple una semana la muerte del exbasquetbolista Kobe Bryant, pero los homenajes para honrar su legado no han parado.
Este jueves se viralizó un video donde la compañía New Ground Technology usa tecnología TurfPrinter para soplar aire y doblar el césped de un campo en la comunidad de Pleasanton. El resultado: la imagen de Kobe Bryant visible desde las alturas.
La impresión de la leyenda de la NBA mide 35 metros de alto por 28 metros de ancho. Presenta a Bryant sonriente con su icónica camiseta #24 de los Lakers y un balón de basquetbol.
La artista de impresión en césped Kelli Pearson, dijo al medio San Francisco CBS, que el pasto únicamente se enrolla, por lo que después de dos días volverá a su posición natural. La imagen en su totalidad sólo es visible desde lo alto.
Pete Davis, CEO de New Ground Technology, agregó que quisieron honrar la memoria de Kobe Bryant porque aprendieron de él “como padre, atleta y persona”. “Tocó tantas vidas, eso me impactó profundamente”, señaló.

El basquetbolista Kobe Bryant falleció el domingo 26 de enero cuando el helicóptero en el que viajaba se desplomó en Calabasas, al sur de los Ángeles, California.
El accidente también fue fatal para el resto de pasajeros, entre quienes se incluyen su hija Gianna, de 13 años, otras dos familias y el piloto.
Tomaron el transporte aéreo para llegar a Mamba Sports Academy (fundada por Kobe), el centro deportivo donde las chicas del equipo de Kobe enfrentarían a Fresno en un juego de basquetbol. Lamentablemente, el helicóptero se desplomó y todos murieron.
Luego de la tragedia, se realizaron homenajes por todo Estados Unidos. Destacaron los realizados en Staples Center, el Aeropuerto de Los Ángeles y el Muelle de Santa Mónica.
Usuarios de redes sociales también reconocieron la relación y apoyo a su hija Gianna con el hashtag #GirlDad.
Vanessa Bryant, ciudad de Kobe, volvió a Instagram para agradecer todas las muestras de afecto.
