REPORT: Marvel's Loki Disney+ Series Taps Owen Wilson for Major Role
by Jon ArvedonUPDATE: Deadline has also confirmed Owen Wilson's involvement in Loki.
Marvel Studios has reportedly cast Owen Wilson in the upcoming Disney+ series Loki.
According to ComicBook.com, there are no details on Wilson's alleged role, though it's being described as "major."
Plot details on the Loki series are largely under wraps, but the show is expected to follow the incarnation of Loki from the alternate 2012 timeline, who escaped with the Tesseract during the events of Avengers: Endgame. Just as Endgame prominently featured time travel, so too will the miniseries, as the Asgardian God of Mischief will visit key historical events throughout the MCU. "There will be a man on the run quality to it, and we get the chance to explore the more human sides of Loki," executive producer Stephen Broussard said.

Additionally, the casting of Yesterday's Sophia Di Martino could point to the series introducing the female version of Loki from the comics.
Loki, starring Tom Hiddleston, is set to hit Disney+ sometime in spring 2021. Rick & Morty writer Michael Waldron will write the series and be billed as creator, with Sex Education's Kate Herron directing all the episodes.
