Locke and Key Teaser Showcases the Head Key and More
by Sam StoneIn anticipation for Locke & Key's premiere next week, Netflix has released a new promo for the upcoming IDW comic book adaptation with a tease of its magical premise.
The teaser opens with the Locke siblings acclimating to their new home and school. After moving to a new town in the middle of the school year, the children quickly learn the Keyhouse -- their ancestral home -- already has a reputation among the locals.
The Locke siblings soon discover three magical keys within the house: one opening a portal to the mind, one to books and another to an ominous vault within a coastal cave. As the children open the vault, they find something sinister on the other side waiting for them.
An adaptation of the IDW Publishing comic book series of the same name by Joe Hill and Gabriel Rodriguez, Locke & Key has already begun preproduction on a second season despite not yet receiving an official renewal from Netflix.
Locke & Key stars Darby Stanchfield (Scandal) as Nina Locke, Jackson Robert Scott (IT) as Bode Locke, Connor Jessup (American Crime) as Tyler Locke, Emilia Jones (Horrible Histories) as Kinsey Locke, Bill Heck (The Ballad of Buster Scruggs) as Rendell Locke, Laysla De Oliveira as Dodge, Thomas Mitchell Barnet as Sam Lesser, Griffin Gluck (American Vandal) as Gabe, and Coby Bird as Rufus Whedon. The Netflix series premieres on Feb. 7.
