Marvel Studios Has Reportedly Met With Emily Blunt
by Mike BloomEmily Blunt may be on her way to the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
According to Murphy's Multiverse, Blunt met with Marvel Studios while she was filming the upcoming Disney picture Jungle Cruise in 2018. The rumor stops there, and it's unknown as to whether the meeting involved her accepting or turning down a future role or merely entertaining interest in entering the franchise. This is also not the first time she's had talks with Marvel, as she was originally approached to play Natasha Romanoff in Iron Man 2, only to turn it down due to other commitments.

As for who Blunt could possibly play in the MCU, many fans have voiced their interest in her and real-life husband John Krasinski playing Sue Storm and Reed Richards when the Fantastic Four make their long-awaited debut. However, a recent casting call for Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness that points to an undisclosed female lead aged late 20s to early 40s also has fans convinced Clea could be joining the MCU, and some are now lumping Blunt's name in with that report.
Next up for the Marvel Cinematic Universe is Black Widow. Directed by Cate Shortland, Black Widow stars Scarlett Johansson as Natasha, Florence Pugh stars as Yelena, David Harbour as Alexei aka The Red Guardian and Rachel Weisz as Melina. The film opens May 1.
