Ouachita Parish man arrested on 16 drug and gun charges
by KNOEOUACHITA PARISH, La. (KNOE) - Authorities have arrested a man they say was illegally in possession of various controlled substances and six stolen guns.
According to arrest records, 34-year-old Charles Michael Knight was arrested Friday, Jan. 31. The arrest came after the Ouachita Parish Sheriff's Office received a tip about illegal narcotics activity in the 700 block of Tidwell Road.
Authorities say they were granted consent to search the home in which Knight resides. They say they found small amounts of marijuana, Clonazepam, Alprazolam, Vyvanse, Oxycodone, Xanax, Ecstasy, Promethazine, Buprenorphine, a glass vial of testosterone, and 3.5 grams of meth.
Authorities say they also found more than two dozen guns, six of which had been reported stolen out of Monroe, Ouachita Parish and Lincoln Parish.
Knight was booked into the Ouachita Correctional Center on six counts of illegal possession of stolen firearms, one count of carrying a weapon in the presence of narcotics, nine counts of possession of a controlled substance (various schedules).
