AMD rewards RX 5700-series purchases with Resident Evil 3 and MHW: Iceborn

by

AMD’s new Raise the Game GPU bundle rewards people buying a Radeon RX 5700-series card with Monster Hunter World: Iceborn and Resident Evil 3, and punishes cheapskates going for an RX 5500-series GPU with Ghost Recon Breakpoint and Warcraft III: Reforged. We don’t know what AMD has in store for RX 5600 XT purchasers because that GPU is currently missing from the leaked listing. Maybe they’ll get lucky and won’t have to suffer through Ghost Recon Breakpoint…

Still, no matter which Radeon card you get, from last-gen RX 500 cards through to the Navi-based RX 5000-series GPUs, you will get a full three months of Xbox Game Pass for PC. And despite the frustratingly Xbox name, it’s one of the best-value services around for PC gamers today. That means you get a whole load of high-quality games to test out your brand new graphics card on, all for free. Gratis. Nada. Nuffin’. Can’t say fairer than that, guv.

And if, for some bizarre, masochistic reason you decide to pick up an AMD Radeon VII brand new at retail, then all you get is Xbox Game Pass for PC. Well, that and a crushing sense of disappointment…

The previous Raise the Game bundle has now expired, with Videocardz reporting that the new bundle coming into force for purchases made from February 4 and on until April 25, 2020. Anyone that’s just pulled the trigger on a new Radeon card is probably going to be pretty steamed right now. Though there is a slight chance AMD might allow you to still redeem codes if you bought a card in between the two Raise the Game offers. Maybe, they’re the good guys after all, right?

You will still have access to the three month Game Pass for PC offer even if you miss the window, however, as any Radeon purchase made after July 1, 2019 still counts. So long as you redeem if by June 30 this year that is.

We would assume that the RX 5600 XT will get added to the list of qualifying products before the actual bundle gets fully announced. After all, if AMD’s still listing the essentially obsolete Radeon VII as a qualifying card you’d hope it’s latest Radeon would be too.
