Lori Vallow: Idaho woman misses deadline to bring missing children to court

by

The mom of two children missing since September failed to meet a court-ordered deadline to bring the kids to authorities in Idaho on Thursday.

Vallow, who was found earlier this week with her husband, Chad Daybell at a beach resort in Kauai, Hawaii, had until Thursday to produce her children ā€” who have been missing since September ā€” to authorities in Idaho.

Authorities believe the children are in danger.

That clears the way for a judge to potentially hold Lori Vallow in contempt of court, a move that would allow prosecutors to seek her extradition from Hawaii to Idaho.

JJ's grandmother says she's disheartened but still hopes to find her grandson.

Seven-year-old Joshua ā€œJJā€ Vallow and 17-year-old Tylee Ryan were reported missing in November. Police conducted a welfare check on JJ after family members said they had not heard from him since September. Lori Vallow and Daybell claimed that JJ was staying with a family friend in Arizona. When police returned the next day, Lori Vallow and Daybell had left.

Lori Vallow and Daybell married in October just weeks after Daybell's wife, Tammy, was found dead on Oct. 19. While officials initially suspected that she had died of natural causes, her body has since been exhumed, and police now consider her death suspicious. Lori Vallow was also previously married until her husband died earlier this year.
