Royal Enfield Bullet 500, Classic 500, Thunderbird 500 to be discontinued in India from March 31

Royal Enfield today announced that it will discontinue the retail sales of Bullet 500, Classic 500 and Thunderbird 500 in India from March 31, 2020. However, Royal Enfield Bullet 500, Royal Enfield Classic 500 and Royal Enfield Thunderbird 500 will continue to be sold across all the international markets.
Powering Royal Enfield Bullet 500, Royal Enfield Classic 500 and Royal Enfield Thunderbird 500 is the same single-cylinder, 4-stroke, spark ignition, air-cooled, fuel injection, 499 cc engine that generates 27.2 bhp and 41.3 Nm of maximum torque. The motor comes mated to a 5-speed constant mesh gearbox.
Although the production of the Bullet 500, the Classic 500 and the Thunderbird 500 will end in India from March 31, 2020, the service facilities and spare parts for these motorcycles will remain available for the current owners across all the Royal Enfield dealerships in the country.
Royal Enfield had launched Himalayan BS6 and Classic 350 BS6 (dual-channel ABS) earlier this month. While Royal Enfield Himalayan BS6 is available in the price range of Rs 1,86,811 (ex-showroom) and Rs 1,91,401 (ex-showroom), Royal Enfield Classic 350 BS6 (dual-channel ABS) is priced at Rs 1,65,025 (ex-showroom).
