Molde’s Stian Rode Gregersen is attracting interest from Wigan Athletic, if reports from Norway are to be believed.

According to TV2, the Latics are ‘chasing’ the 24-year-old and have converted their interest into an offer by submitting a bid for him.

It’s claimed the Championship side have submitted a bid of 3.5m Kr for the midfielder, which works out to be about £300k.

TV2 explains the bid from Paul Cook’s side for Stian Rode Gregersen has been ‘flatly rejected’ by Molde. Apart from the English club, the player is also attracting interest from Russia.

Stian Rode Gregersen spent last season on loan at Swedish club IF Elfsborg.

The report adds ‘he did so well’ that Molde want him to be a replacement for captain Ruben Gabrielsen, who recently made a switch to Toulouse.
