Friday Dubai Metro Red Line timings changed

Work ahead of Expo 2020 means morning timings have changed on Dubai Metro

by

With Expo 2020 in sight, works are continuing in earnest to complete transport connections into the site, which will be located in Dubai South.

Dedicated Dubai Metro stops are being developed, and to make sure work can continue and close in on completion in time, the timings of the Dubai Metro Red Line have been changed.

Every Friday, from today (January 31), through until Friday March 13, the Dubai Metro Red Line will begin operation at 2pm, rather than the earlier 4am. A member of staff at one Dubai Metro station told Time Out Dubai that the change in timings is to make sure that overnight work, which usually commence after service on the line closes at 1am, has more time to complete during the winter months.

Friday service will still run until 1am throughout the duration of the works.
