Kate Middleton 'misses' her close bond with Prince Harry and 'fears she'll 'never be close to him again,' source tells Us Weekly

The Duchess of Cambridge 'misses' her close bond with Prince Harry and worries she'll 'never be close to him again,' a source has claimed.

The comments come after the Duke of Sussex, 35, and Meghan Markle, 38, announced they were 'stepping back' as 'senior royals' - before boarding separate planes to Canada with son Archie, eight months.  

But according to the insider, Kate Middleton, 38, has been left crying over the distance between herself and her brother-in-law. 

'She wishes she could speak to Harry,' the source told Us Weekly. 'She misses him and fears she'll never be close to him again.' 

But while the Queen offered her best wishes to the couple, who plan to split their time between Britain and North America, the decision has allegedly had an impact on Kate. 

The mother-of-three, who has Prince George, six, Princess Charlotte, four, and Prince Louis, 20 months, has been busy fulfilling her royal duties - and has visited a nursery, science museum and community centre in the last week as she promotes her landmark survey on early childhood development.

'Kate's in a panic and has been having bouts of anxiety,' the source claimed. 'She barely has time to rest, and when she does try to sleep, her mind is constantly racing.'

The source added of Kate's occasional 18 hour working days: 'She's already stretched pretty thin...and now she's really worried about how she'll juggle the extra workload on top of her family life.'

However, it's previously been reported that Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie will take on more prominent roles in The Firm after Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's departure.

Royal biographer Robert Lacey, who is the historical consultant for The Crown, said the sisters will 'be brought forward' because it's 'what the royal family needs' after the Duke and Duchess of Sussex decided to step back from royal life.

Princess Beatrice, 31, and Princess Eugenie, 29, are not currently considered to be senior working royals, because they do not carry out duties full time on behalf of the Queen.

Speaking to Hello!, Robert revealed the sisters would be 'brought forward' if they were willing to be, saying: 'If two go out, two have got to come in, and those two have got to be Beatrice and Eugenie.'

Meanwhile, as far as Kate and Meghan's relationship is concerned, the insider told US weekly: 'They couldn't be further apart.'
