Air ambulance sent to deal with 'medical incident' at Burton leisure centre

The chopper touched down on the Bargates land, off High Street.
Paramedics from West Midlands Ambulance Service attended the scene at Meadowside Leisure Centre, in Meadowside Drive, off High Street. as someone had suffered a "medical incident" inside the premises.
The emergency services were called to the scene at 10.30am, with the air ambulance landing minutes later, a source said.
A spokesman for the ambulance service said: "It is a medical incident at Meadowside Leisure Centre.
"We sent two land ambulances and the air ambulance is also on the scene. We were called at 10.30am."
A police car was also seen at the scene.
A spokesman for Staffordshire Police said: "We attended Meadowside Centre in Burton just after 10.30am this morning to assist ambulance colleagues after an elderly gentleman had fallen ill."
The Meadowside Leisure Centre has been approached for more information.
