Galaxy Z Flip's Tiny Outer Panel Is Called 'Focus Display': Tipster

The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip's outer panel will be called 'Focus Display', claims a well-known tipster. This information comes from Ishan Agarwal, who shared some additional Galaxy Z Flip-related info.

Mr. Agarwal has been leaking the Galaxy Z Flip info for a while. The latest batch of news not only reveals the name of the phone's tiny display, but some additional info regarding both it, and the phone itself.

The Galaxy Z Flip's outer display will measure 1.05 inches

The Galaxy Z Flip's outer display will measure 1.05 inches in diagonal, and we're looking at a Super AMOLED display here. The phone's main display will measure 6.7 inches, and it will be a fullHD+ panel (22:9 aspect ratio).

The source also claims that the Z Flip will support 15W fast wired charging, and 12W wireless charging. A 3,300mAh battery will be divided into two batteries, actually (2,375mAh + 925mAh).

Ishan Agarwal also confirmed that the phone will include stereo speakers, as expected. Now, it was recently reported that the Galaxy S20 series will not include Dual Aperture, well, the Z Flip will.

Samsung seems to be moving away from the Dual Aperture feature, at least when the S20 series is concerned. The Galaxy Z Flip may include older tech in that sense, and will sport such a feature.

The device will be fueled by the Snapdragon 855+, and include Wireless PowerShare

Mr. Agarwal once again reconfirmed that the phone will be fueled by the Snapdragon 855+. He also said that Wireless PowerShare will be included as well, which means that reverse wireless charging will be a part of the package.

The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip will become official along with the Galaxy S20 series on February 11. The phone will become available on February 14, in case you were wondering, at least in the US.

The phone will sport 8GB of RAM and 256GB of UFS 3.0 flash storage. Android 10 will come pre-installed on this smartphone, along with Samsung's custom UI.

The device will include a display camera hole, and its bezels will be quite thin. Those bezels will have a layer of plastic / silicone on top of them, just to secure the phone's display from damage when you fold the device.

The phone will include two cameras on the back. Both of those cameras will include 12-megapixel sensors, and we're looking at a main camera, and an ultra wide one.

The Galaxy Z Flip will become Samsung's second foldable smartphone. The Galaxy Fold 2 is expected to launch in H1 2020, though, so we'll get to see the company's new flagship foldable soon as well.
