Robbie Savage's Premier League predictions as Man Utd and Arsenal drop points

by

After last weekend's FA Cup action and the close of the transfer window, the on-field action in the Premier League returns to centre-stage.

League leaders Liverpool face Southampton at Anfield, and can extend their lead at the top of the table to a staggering 22 points.

That's because second place Manchester City aren't in action until Sunday afternoon, when they head to London to face Tottenham Hotspur.

Indeed, it's a busy weekend at the top of the table, with second vs sixth, fifth vs seventh and third vs fourth.

The third of that trio is Saturday's early kickoff, as Leicester host Chelsea at the King Power Stadium.

Later that day, Manchester United and Wolves, level on points - both six points off the Champions League places - meet at Old Trafford.

Elsewhere, there are two big relegation battles, between West Ham and Brighton at the London Stadium and Bournemouth and Aston Villa down on the south coast.

Bottom of the table Norwich head to Newcastle, Crystal Palace host Sheffield United, Everton travel to Watford- still 19th - and there's a middle-of-the-table clash between Arsenal and Burnley at Turf Moor.
