Manchester United tipped to complete six signings on transfer deadline day
The latest players transfer odds on Manchester United as the January window edges closer to slamming shut.
by George SmithAfter negotiations seemed to rumble on for an unimaginable amount of time, Manchester United sealed the signing of Sporting Lisbon midfielder Bruno Fernandes.
The Portuguese midfielder put pen to paper on a five-and-a-half-year deal after United agreed a deal with the Lisbon-based side.
But with Fernandes through the door, it does not necessarily mean that United are done there in terms of new arrivals.
It is no secret that United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer wants to add a striker to his squad by the time the window closes and they have, unsurprisingly, been linked with a host of names.
As we close in on deadline day, plenty of transfer rumours are flying around and SportNation.Bet has identified the six most likely signings United could make before the window slams shut.
Josh King - 5/4
United sold striker Josh King to Blackburn Rovers seven years ago and are now heavily linked with bringing him back on deadline day.
Bournemouth boss Eddie Howe has admitted that one bid has already been rejected for the forward and that another could come before the day is out.
Solskjaer, however, has warned fans against expecting anymore signings.
Odion Ighalo - 7/2
With Marcus Rashford sidelined, United have been linked with a raft of names when it comes to sourcing a striker replacement.
And one name that has been doing the rounds in recent days is that of Odion Ighalo, who currently plays for Shanghai Greenland Shenhua.
The Nigerian striker, formerly of Watford, has been linked with a loan move.
Salomon Rondon - 11/2
Another striker currently based in China that is linked with United is Dalian Yifang's Salomon Rondon.
The striker, who was on loan with Newcastle United last season, joined the Chinese club from West Bromwich Albion back in the summer.
But with United desperate to add a new face to the attacking ranks, Rondon has emerged as one of the favourites that United could turn to.
Boubakary Soumare - 8/1
At just 20-years-old, Lille midfielder Boubakary Soumare is emerging as one of Europe’s brightest properties.
Naturally, that has seen a host of clubs linked with the France Under-21 international and he has been linked with United.
Jude Bellingham - 9/1
Another young midfielder linked with United is Birmingham City’s 16-year-old starlet Jude Bellingham, who is considered as one of the brightest sparks in the EFL.
With his performance levels getting better and better as each week passes, it is only natural that so many of England’s elite have been keeping a close eye on his development.
Birmingham are desperate to keep hold of the teenager, but having delivered consistently at Championship level at such a tender age, he is highly likely to be on the minds of many big clubs moving forward.
Moussa Dembele - 10/1
Lyon striker Moussa Dembele has been linked with United’s Premier League rivals Chelsea in the past and also the Reds.
The Frenchman, who is 23-years-old, has developed into one of the most highly-rated strikers in Europe in recent seasons.
This season, Dembele has scored 14 goals in 29 appearances across all competitions. United, though, would probably have to fork out a big fee to land the forward.
