Sidharth Malhotra to play a double role in the Hindi remake of Thadam

The actor who is currently gearing up for Shershaah alongside Kiara Advani, has found yet another potboiler after his recent release, Marjaavaan. Thadam is being produced by Murad Khetani. Sidharth would be seen in a double role in the film for the very first St time in his career. A source informed the daily, "Sidharth plays a double role for the first time in his career, a businessman and a small-time thief and gambler always looking to make a quick buck. The film is currently in prep and the team is working towards creating two distinct looks for him." The report also stated that the makers are looking for an A-list actress opposite Sidharth, who would be able to join the cast within two weeks.
The Tamil hit, Thadam originally starred Arun Vijay in the lead role. It narrates the story of two identical-looking people caught in the cat and mouse game with the cops after a murder. The source added, "The story has plenty of thrills which lend themselves to some interesting chase sequences, something that appealed to Sid instantly, in addition to the challenge of playing a double role." Presently, Sidharth has wrapped up Shershaah and has moved on to his next co-starring Ajay Devgn and Rakul Preet Singh.
