Man stabbed with a knife in the hip in Mansfield
A man has been arrested
by Matt JarramPolice were called to a Mansfield street in the middle of the day after a man was stabbed in the hip.
The incident happened in Rosemary Street at around 3.40pm on Thursday, January 30.
Police said a 44-year-old man suffered "a minor injury" after he was stabbed in his hip.
He was treated by paramedics but did not attend hospital.
A 50-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the incident.
Detective Inspector Gayle Hart from Nottinghamshire Police said: "Our officers attended the scene within minutes yesterday resulting in a 50-year-old man being arrested a short distance away from where the victim was located.
"The man remains in police custody and our team has been working around the clock while the investigation continues.
"We believe this to be an isolated incident with no threat to the wider public."
