The wrestling fraternity was on Friday, January 31 thrown into panic after learning that WWE legend Bret Hart is suffering from skin cancer.
The WWE Hall of famer took to his Instagram to share the news with the fans, revealing he was diagnosed with basal cell carcinoma (BCC).
“Goal for 2020 and beyond: wear more sunscreen! Basal cell carcinoma removal scheduled soon. Another opportunity to remind everyone to look after your health and get checked,” he wrote on Instagram.

According to medics, BCC is one of the most common forms of cancer and if detected early enough, can be completely defeated because most of it grows slowly.
Luckily for Bret, he is scheduled for removal very soon. In rare occasions, BCCs can be life-threatening, especially if left untreated.
Since retiring from wrestling, Hart, 62 has suffered from a number of health problems.
Hart, popularly known as The HitMan, suffered a stroke in 2002 and has also been battling prostrate cancer which he was diagnosed in 2016.
He recovered from partial paralysis after a period of intense physical therapy and as for prostrate cancer, he beat the disease after undergoing surgery.

His announcement of his newest health condition led to a number of positive messages pouring on social media, with fans vowing to get themselves checked for potential ailments.
Others simply wished the legend all the best as he began his journey to recovery.
