Weekend betting tips: Four bets that could make you a fortune

Best bets for horse racing and rugby

by

A great weekend is coming up if you are a sports fan - and a even better one if you are a racing fan.

The Dublin Racing Festival takes centre stage on Saturday and Sunday with the cream of Irish national hunt racing on show.

Meanwhile, rugby fans will be excited as the Six Nations gets underway and Ireland welcome Scotland to the Aviva.

Here are our best bets for the weekend:

Latest Exhibition 12.50 Saturday 5/2

Latest Exhibition is a horse that won many admirers with the way he recovered from a bad mistake to comprehensively burst Andy Dufresne's bubble at Navan in December.

Andy Dufresne franked that form by winning the Moscow Flyer Novice Hurdle, while the only horse to beat the selection over hurdles Abacadabras is now a Grade 1 winner.

The form is rock solid and Latest Exhibition should get favourite backers off to a great start.

Honeysuckle 3.10 Saturday 11/8

All season Honeysuckle's trainer De Bromhead has reiterated that the Mares' Hurdle at Cheltenham is the ultimate aim.

But after sauntering clear of classy opposition in the Hatton's Grace Hurdle, there was easier options for the six-year-old than this race.

Don't be fooled - Honeysuckle can confirm herself a mare of the highest quality here before winning the Champion Hurdle at the Cotswolds.

Garry Ringrose MOM Ireland v Scotland 12/1

Few players in Irish rugby have been in better form than Garry Ringrose.

No sign of any hangover from the World Cup, the centre has been a try-scoring machine for Leinster in their flawless start to the season.

He is joined in the midfield again by Bundee Aki and we think 12/1 looks good value about him picking up the man of the match award.

Appreciate It 4.20 Saturday 2/1

The concluding bumper on Saturday is a typically hot affair but Appreciate It is taken to be the pick of the bunch for the Mullins camp.

A close-up third behind two subsequent easy winners (Eskylane and Assemble) on his debut at Fairyhouse.

The son of Jeremy showed an impressive turn of foot to streak clear at this track at Christmas and looks primed for a bold showing.
