BSNL set to revamp; half the employees are retrenched today

Barat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) is all set to rejuvenate the public telecom sector by bringing alterations in services and work. As part of the move the country is to witness the largest retrenching of employees.

New Delhi: Barat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) is all set to rejuvenate the public telecom sector by bringing alterations in services and number of employees. As part of the move the country is to witness the largest retrenching of employees. As many as half among the one -and -half –a lakh employees in the public sector telecom company take VRS today. The company set to resolve the disproportionate ratio between expenditure and income and the excessive number of employees. The new change will  be effective from tomorrow onwards.
