Former One Direction member Zayn Malik, who shot to the top with his debut single back in 2016, has just released the music video to his song Flames, effectively setting Twitter on ‘flames’.
The video, which notably does not give Zayn any screen time, features a mysterious black-cloaked figure, surrounded by ordinary humans.

Naturally, his fans had a lot of emotions to process in the wake of the highly anticipated release, however by the numbers on the YouTube video, it seems it may not have had the same impact as his earlier releases.
Some fans also pointed out how multiple former members of the hit boy band One Direction are releasing new material at the same time.
The Pillowtalk hit maker has not released a solo song in a quite a while. Flamescomes hot on the heels on numerous collaborations with various different artists – Zayn has collaborated with R3HAB and Jungleboi on this track.
Needless to say, fans of the I Don’t Wanna Live Forever singer are yearning for some new solo material and from the looks of it, Zayn may be working on a new album. Guess we’ll have to wait and see.
