Manchester United hold talks with Yannick Carrasco over deadline day move?
Manchester United have reportedly identified Yannick Carrasco as a deadline day option to bolster their attacking ranks.
by Barney CorkhillCarrasco has regularly been linked with a move back to Europe since joining Chinese Super League side Dalian Yifang, but previous talks with a number of clubs including United have fallen through.
However, the Daily Mail reports that United's desire to bring in a new striker before tonight's 11pm deadline has led them to revive their interest in the Belgian international.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side are also interested in Bournemouth's Joshua King, but have earmarked Carrasco as an alternative option to replace the injured Marcus Rashford.
The 26-year-old is eager to secure a move back to a top European club in order to aid his chances of making Belgium's squad for Euro 2020, while Dalian manager Rafael Benitez is thought to be open to letting him leave.
Carrasco preferred choice is a return to Atletico Madrid, where he played from 2015 to 2018, but United are reportedly considering a late attempt to hijack the move.
