Illegal gun supplier held, P.2M shabu seized

EASTERN Police District- District Special Operations Group (EPD-DSOU) nabbed a high value target (HVT) and suspected supplier of illegal firearms which resulted in the confiscation of firearms and P200K worth of shabu following an operation in Pasig City Thursday night.

In a report submitted to EPD director Brig.Gen. Johnson Almazan by EPD-DSOU chief, Major Darwin Guerrero, identified the suspect as Jam-Jam Julian,20 and resident of Lanzones St. Kangkungan Site, Napico, Bgy. Manggahan, Pasig City.

Guerrero said Julian is a newly identified HVT and illegal firearms supplier of in Pasig City.

His cohort who escaped during operation and now the subject of arrest was identified as Edison Bolista, of No 67 Acacia St., Napico , Bgy. Manggahan.

The official said the operation was conducted after weeks of surveillance based on information that the two suspects were involved in illegal selling of loose firearms and shabu.

Teams of DSOU led by Guerrero conducted a buy-bust at around 10 pm at the house of Bolista after they agreed to meet following their transaction through text that they wanted to buy firearms from the suspects.

When Julian handed the.38 caliber to a cop buyer and was about to arrest him, he immediately ran towards the house to get his gun, prompting policemen to pursue him and  after a brief chase he was collared.

Police said, Bolista saw the commotion and escaped through the roof of the house.

During search, Guerrero said, they were able to seize another .9mm calibre revolver with live ammunitions and P200,000 worth of shabu, 12 grams of dried marijuana worth P12,000 and a weighing scale concealed inside a cabinet .

Julian was recently released from jail after posting bail for a robbery case in Pasig City .He has also pending cases of theft and physical injuries.
