ORIGINAL 7:13 a.m.

Environment Canada has issued a snowfall warning for the Trans Canada Highway - Eagle Pass to Rogers Pass.

While the Okanagan is expecting warm temperatures Friday the situation east of Salmon Arm is very different. Snowfall with total amounts of 15 to 25 cm is expected as a Pacific frontal system will bring snow, heavy at times to Rogers Pass today. The snow will become mixed with rain late this afternoon as snow levels rise. Total snow accumulations up to 25 cm can be expected before the snow completely changes to rain this evening.

Be prepared to adjust your driving with changing road conditions. Rapidly accumulating snow could make travel difficult over some locations. Visibility may be suddenly reduced at times in heavy snow.

You are advised to check DriveBC and Castanet for the latest on driving conditions.
