Delhi Polls 2020: BJP promises clean water, cheap wheat flour, jobs in its manifesto

Manoj Tiwari said that if BJP forms the next government in Delhi then people will get clean water in their taps and the dependency on water tankers will become zero.

Bharatiya Janata Party on Friday released its manifesto for the upcoming Delhi Assembly Elections 2020. in its 'Delhi Sankalp Patra', the BJP has promised sops like a ban on sealing and Rs 2 per kg wheat flour for poor.

Releasing the manifesto, Delhi BJP chief Manoj Tiwari promised a corruption-free government and a development board for the newly-authorised colonies, if elected.

Manoj Tiwari said that if BJP forms the next government in Delhi then people will get clean water in their taps and the dependency on water tankers will become zero.

He said that, if elected, BJP will implement central schemes like Ayushman Yojna, Pradhanmantri Awas Yojna and Kisan Samman Yojna.

Also present during the manifesto release, Union ministers Nitin Gadkari took a jibe at ruling Aam Aadmi Party's promises of freebies like free water and electricity and said, "Freebies will not help carve Delhi's future, concrete steps were needed."

But the BJP manifesto also promised several financial aides and goodies to the voters like guaranteed Rs 2 lakh to each poor girl child at the time of her birth, electric scooter for poor girls going to college, Rs 51,000 for poor widows for their daughter's marriage. the manifesto also promises a free bicycle for class 9 girl students.

The manifesto promises a youth talent hunt, at least 10 lakh jobs for the unemployed, Rani Laxmi Bai scheme for the women safety, new regulations for street vendors and a job guarantee for contractual employees.

For infrastructure, the BJP has promised an expense of Rs 10,000 crore. The BJP says, if elected, it will build a riverfront and ghat at the Yamuna and will start a daily aarti.
