A Nigerian lady identified as Opeyemi Afolabi has taken to social media to recount how she once walked away from a job offer that promised great benefits. In a series of tweets, she recounted how she started out as an intern at the company.

Opeyemi revealed that the company belonged to her friend who liked her and had gone ahead to ask her out. She however, turned down his offer but continued working for him until he moved on and got married to someone else.

Their working relationship continued until she realized she had grown feelings for the man whom she discovered liked her too and was always giving her preferential treatment at the office.

Opeyemi revealed that she soon got offered a permanent position at the company. The pay was good and she loved the work environment so she considered taking the offer.

However, she soon realized that he prioritizes their relationship over his marriage and that left her disturbed.

She, however, prayed about it since she was confused about whether to take the job or not, and soon found her answer.

Opeyemi revealed that she walked away because she knew her self-control wasn't strong enough to resist what would have become of their relationship if she remained at the company.

She shared her story to make people understand where Pastor Adeboye was coming from when he made his son sack a secretary after he confessed that he had grown fond of her despite being married.

Recall that the general overseer of Redeemed Christian Church of God had earlier taken to social media to preach against married people keeping friends of the opposite gender as that is how infidelity starts.

He wrote:"It is sad that many married people are still having crushes with persons apart from their spouses. If there is any fellow aside from your spouse you are admiring unduly, you must see such a person as the devil and get rid of them immediately."

He narrated how one of his sons became fond of his female secretary and at some point, she had become the reason he went to work. Pastor Adeboye immediately advised him to fire her, in order to protect his home.
