Derby County are looking to sign Rushian Hepburn-Murphy on loan from Aston Villa.

But the 21-year-old forward would likely continue his development in the Rams under-23 set up rather than the first team, I understand.

Hepburn-Murphy has six months to run on his contract at Villa.

He spent the first half of this season on loan at Tranmere Rovers, scoring four goals in 17 games in League One.

Three of those goals came in a victory over MK Dons in November. Eight of his 17 league appearances for Rovers have been starts.

All 13 of his league appearances for Villa have been as a substitute.

He has represented England at under-16, 17, 18, 19 and 20 levels.
