IKEA customers can now pay someone to build flatpacks in their homes
It's available for Nottingham customers
by Christopher HarperFor many of us, IKEA is a brilliant and wondrous place to grab some furniture.
You can spend hours looking around the vast warehouse, getting inspiration for your next big project.
But when you buy all the flat packs and take it home, building it can be the absolute worst and most stressful thing you do.
Well, IKEA has introduced a revolutionary new service that takes the stress out of building the backpack.
Working alongside the company TaskRabbit, Nottingham customers who shop at Giltbrook Retail Park can now pay people to build the items at home.
And prices start from just £6.
The scheme is launching in other areas of the UK including Leeds, Sheffield, Gateshead, Southhampton and Exeter at the end of January.
Daniel Lundholm, country customer fulfilment manager, IKEA UK & Ireland says: “We know that increasingly, people are living extremely busy lives, so we want to make things easier for them by offering affordable and convenient services, like TaskRabbit.
"Expanding TaskRabbit means that more people across the UK can have their furniture built when they want, at high quality and at a low price, giving them more time to spend with their loved ones.”
Anyone who wishes to book a "tasker" can do so through the website at www.taskrabbit.co.uk/ikea.
